The terraced landscape is a common thread, recognizable both at the territorial level and in the partnership activities of the Interreg project InTERRACED  (Integrated strategies and networks for  conservation and enhancement of the transboundary Terraced Landscape).

The common cross-border identity is also found in the construction techniques, in the landscape structure, in the management difficulties and in the renewed interest in the issue addressed by local communities, agricultural and artisan entrepreneurship and international attention. A collaborative approach is essential to ensure effective interventions on the terraced heritage that characterizes the Alps.

The geocaching competition is developed within this overall framework, with the aim of enhancing the terraced territory and connecting the communities around this great heritage, environmental value. The competition has been launched to celebrate the European Cooperation Day and involve the  participants in the discovery of the terraced landscape.

The geocaching competition provides that participants, following the coordinates provided in the map “28 terraced landscapes to find and photograph”, visit the greatest number of points of interest: the more landscapes you shoot the more you are likely to win!
Winner’s pictures will be published on InTerraced project and Interreg Italy Switzerland Programme Facebook and Instagram.

Competition is open to all hikers and natural areas and landscapes lovers. Deadline to participate is 10 october 2022.
