The European Cooperation Day is organized every year around 21 September. Hundreds of cross-border celebrations are organized every year by Interreg Programmes both in EU and neighbouring countries, with the joint idea to share borders and bring our neighbors together. Also, 2022 is European Year of Youth. So, in 2022 the celebration have a common theme: “Youth for cooperation”.
In previous years, Interreg Lithuania-Poland Programme has held many events related to Green Europe and sports theme. For instance, tree-planting ceremony, basketball match or nature trekking tours.
This year, on 27 September, our Programme decided to organize a kite design workshop. The event will take place in Druskininkai, Lithuania. 15 children will get a chance to prepare their own kited and fly them in the sky. Flying kites symbolizes freedom, achieving dreams anchored in reality, exploring new horizons.
10 Interreg Lithuania-Poland Programme nominations and projects‘ results exhibition
In addition to flying kites, we shall organise an award ceremony for the most successful projects of the Programme 2014-2020. The winners will receive a diploma and tasty gifts and will be promoted by the programme in social networks.
As well, participants will have a possibility to take a photo near the event photo wall, photos will be shared in social networks and marked with our Programe hashtag #lietuvapolska. Therefore, this awards event is an excellent opportunity to give visibility to the results of the participating projects.
During whole event, participants will be able to admire the most memorable pictures made by our project beneficiaries.
