Project B-Ice & Heritage will celebrate the European Cooperation Day with a 2 days meeting to discuss and reflect on climate change and sustainable tourism in Valmalenco.
The event will take place in Chiesa Valmalenco, where on wednesday 28, scientific popularizer Luca Mercalli will take part in a debate on the effects of climate change on the Alpine environment. During the meeting, researchers will explain the changes taking place in Valmalenco territories, especially the retreat of glaciers and the scarcity of snowfall, The aim is to outline a sustainable future for the mountains and to involve and dialogue with the public present.
On thursday 29 September, there will be a guided tour to Alpe Ventina, which will complete the two days in Valmalenco sharing the pleasure of walking in the mountains together.
