The Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme, together with Nordland County Council (Norway) are joining the Bodø Film Festival to present sneak peek into the lives of young and indigenous people in the Northern periphery of Europe.
Through 4 short movies by young independent directors, the spectators will meet a Greenlandic lesbian couple facing a turning point in their relationship, and two Irish young men whose friendship is challenged by the stereotypes on the Travelers’ community. The two Norwegian productions will offer a taste into the life of Saami people. Ironically victims of the charms of their own indigenous culture in Koftepolitiet and living the life of a reindeer herders’ family amidst the most beautiful nature but at odds with climate change, in Ealát.
These movies will be screened twice, on Thursday 20th October at 18:00 and on Saturday 22nd October at 14:00 in Sal 3, Fram Kino, Storgata 8:
After the movies, the directors will participate in a Q&A session (only on Thursday).
The event is free of charges and everyone living in Bodø or visiting the city is warmly welcomed!
