In Tulcea, the Association for the Sustainable Development of the Danube Delta as partners in the implementation of Romania-Ukraine cross border cooperation project  together with the Union of Ukrainians from Romania, the Tulcea branch and the Tulcea City Hall, organized a folklore show to mark the European Cooperation Day.

On October 1, 2022, between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., in Tulcea, a cultural event, with groups and folk ensembles of Romanians of Ukrainian origin performed artistically in  a show dedicated to the Ukrainian refugees  on the stage in “Mircea cel Bătrân” Square in Tulcea Municipality.

Among the ensembles that performed are the beneficiaries of the project “ASSESSMENT OF CULTURAL IDENTITY AND COMMON HISTORY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM IN THE BORDER AREA OF THE LOWER DANUBE”, within the Joint Operational Program Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020. Folkloric groups included in the show: “Ciorne More” – Sfântu Gheorghe, “Bila Roja” – Letea, “Bila Macovca” – Chilia Veche; “Zadunaiska Sici” – Tulcea; Founder of “Zadunaiska Sici” – Tulcea.

The scope of the event is to celebrate Euroepan Cooperation Day 2022 but also to show the solidarity with the Ukrainian people and the refugees that are in Tulcea county.
