The results of the projects implemented in the Republic of Moldova with the support of the European Union through the Danube Transnational Programme 2014-2020 will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 21, during the European Cooperation Day. The event, organized by the Office for the Management of Foreign Assistance Programs, highlighted the assistance provided by the program in stimulating innovation, social responsibility, good governance, and the preservation of natural and cultural heritage in the Republic of Moldova, along with 13 other partner countries in the Danube region.

The European Cooperation Day aims to present the results of the projects within the Transnational Danube Program for capitalizing on the benefits of the cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union.

The Danube Transnational Program 2014–2020 has a total budget of 274.6 million euros, including 5 million euros allocated from the European Neighborhood Instrument (ENI) funds for the Republic of Moldova. 14 countries participate in the program: Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany (the states of Baden Wurttemberg and Bavaria), Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Montenegro, Serbia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine (the oblasts of Chernivetska, Ivano-Frankivska , Zakarpatska, Odessa).

At the national level, 22 projects are implemented in areas such as good governance, innovation and social, cultural, energy and environmental responsibility, with a total value of 2.5 million. of euro.
