On the 24th of September 2022, the ENI CBC PROGRAMME Romania-Republic of Moldova 2014-2022 celebrates the European Cooperation Day in Iași, Romania and Cahul, Republic of Moldova.
On Saturday, September 24, 2022, the Management Structures of the Romania-Republic of Moldova Joint Operational Program organize in Romania, in Iași and in the Republic of Moldova, in Cahul, European Cooperation Day 2022: Youth and Traditions.
The event will take place simultaneously in the two cities, in physical format, transmitted online on the programme Facebook page, and will consist of the organization of practical workshops of traditional crafts for children, with the participation of folk craftsmen from both sides of Prut river.
Children and teenagers attending the activities will be introduced to naive painting on wooden spoons, pottery and clay modeling, loom weaving, embroidery, crocheting bookmarks and making dolls and paintings from vegetable fibers. The purpose of these activities is to bring to the attention of the younger generation the traditions and customs that are part of our culture and that can be found on both sides of the border. This is a good opportunity for the youngsters in both countries to experiment the idea of cooperation … in a creative way.
The workshops led by traditional craftsmen will take place at the Palace of Culture in Iași and at the Palace of Culture in Cahul. Also, the events will be live streamed on the Facebook page of the “ENI CBC Romania-Republic of Moldova 2014-2020” Program, between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
