This European Cooperation Day in the Hungary-Croatia region features one in a series of cultural events entitled˝Zagorje autumn˝, a traditional manifestation organized by the Municipality of Sopje in Croatia, Josipovo women’s association and their partners from Hungarian Drávasztára. The manifestation fosters the culture and language of the ancestors who inhabited the region on both sides of the River Drava.
The programme includes a procession through the village where 10 local folklore associations perform presenting folk costumes, dances and songs. Additionally, visitors will be able to visit exhibition and sales booth where the works of various local and visiting arts and crafts associations will be exhibited, coming from the region and beyond. The event will continue into the evening hours with snacks and music entertainment provided.
The visitors can take the opportunity and visit several sites included in joint Hungarian-Croatian projects, including the Culture Centre in Sopje and the Dravska priča educational centre in nearby Noskovci.
